5 Best Bags to Invest in

bags to invest in

If there’s one thing that I envy about men, it would be how they don’t need to have a bag.  Yes, they do use them sometimes, but they can peacefully survive without one.  How do they manage to have everything they need in their pockets is still a mystery to me.  God forbid I walk out of the house without a bottle of water and a book inside my bag!  Even if I go somewhere where there will be plenty of water (yes I drink every 15 minutes) and I wouldn’t have time to read, I still carry 135 items with me! We, women, have what’s-inside-my-bag series on social media for a reason!

Anyway, this is the reality and we aren’t complaining about it.  We adore bags and can never get enough of them.  We have them in different sizes, colours and shapes and for varying occasions. Nevertheless, there’s always that need to acquire one bag of a special value.  Although I’m going to talk about high price bags in this post, my focus is not the monetary cost of them.  What I mean by value here is the versatility and longevity of the item.  In other words, the perfect bag is the one that works with as many outfits as possible and the one that wouldn’t look outdated after 10 years.  In addition, being expensive or belonging to a famous brand doesn’t make it the magic wand that will transform your style.

Don’t worry if you can’t afford these bags or don’t see the logic behind paying so much for them.  Learn the guidelines of what I will present or check where to buy similar styles in lower prices in this post here.

Ok, let’s dive into it.  Have fun!! 😉

1. Marni Trunk Crossbody

The Trunk will drive every bag maniac insane because it comes in 2 versions: the 5-compartment and the single-compartment and each of them have a mini version of its own.  Not only that, it is also produced as single-coloured, mulit-coloured,  in different leathers and in different textures.  It is hard not to want to own all of them.  It is a spacious bag with an impeccable design.

2. Mansur Gavriel Circle Bag

If you are going for the round shape, make sure it is a full circle or it’s round at the bottom.  Avoid roundness at the top of the bag because 90% of the time it looks old and might completely ruin your outfit.  Mansur Gavriel circle bag has a short handle and a detachable long strap. It is also available in a mini version.

3. Fendi Belt Bag

Now don’t confuse that with the fanny pack we know that might be a bit sloppy or can look good only with casual outfits.  If you want it to be as versatile as possible, opt for firm construction and geometrical shapes.  In case you think this option is too small for you, don’t be afraid to carry another bag; a shopper for example.  Choose them in the same style for a balanced look.

4. Sophie Hulme Albion Tote

The clean lines with the minimal detailing of this bag makes it an excellent choice for those who love bigger bags.  It is very functional and can be a chic option for ladies with office jobs and formal dress codes.  It is available in three heights to fit every need. Both silver and gold hardware are available.

5. Staud Bissett Bucket BagThe clean lines with the minimal detailing of this bag makes it an excellent cht every need.

The best part about this bag is the structured handle.  It adds a modern vibe to the classical bucket bag.  Just as with the belt bags, stay away from soft forms and select firmer silhouettes for a guaranteed sophistication.  Similar to the bags above, this beauty can be a perfect match to any style of clothes.
